This doesn't really solve this issue, but it may help Kehm:
if you have host privilege (and you should I think), then in the Host CP in Gatherling, if you go to the event, you can see all the decks that are there at once, without having to search each person by name.

For reference's sake, there are 3/8 for the T8 at this moment, so the excuse that people are entering them in Gatherling instead is mostly BS.

Now, and this is coming from the probably the first host to "punish" players not posting their decks: I think you are going a bit overboard.

There are probably some players who are unaware that this is the rule or how important it is. The truth is, deck posting has been on a decline for a while, it is better to remind players often and give a smaller punishment but to be consistent than to dish out some huge pain starting from now on because this last event was bad.

My personnal suggestion is to withold prizes and season points for an event until decks are posted.
The prize works very well as it is done right after the event so there is no way they can really forget, whereas, even if you threathen to kill their mother in the event thread after all is said and done, a lot of players don't read it when the event is done.

One thing doesn´t eliminate the other. Bumping our threads and posting lists/reports give us a lot of visibility. SPDC will never change this rule.

Even if Gatherling itself reaches perfection, we´ll still need rules such as this to make them all post their lists.

I haven't been requiring my players to post decklists on the event thread. That has probably bled over to other events.

Soon enough, the collection of metagame data issue will be needless, as the metagame report will be generated automatically by Gatherling. Mine eyes have seen the prototype...

POSTING DECKLISTS:

- Load your deck in MTGO
- Click "save as"
- Save as type: (*.txt)
- Open the .txt file.
- Copy and paste.

That's barely more than 5 seconds, I swear. There is no reason a decklist shouldn't be posted right after your last match of an event.

My time away from hosting duties made me skip this issue. But that doesn´t mean that the rules have changed. Top8 deck lists must be posted in the event thread.

I´ll consider this as a collective lapse and give people until this sunday (Feb 2nd) to post lists from 4.10 and 4.11 in their respective threads.
